A Compassionate Community
Reformation takes seriously its responsibility as a compassionate community and is generous in its community outreach. Various activities and programs include the following:
SHARING
WITH OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED: Last year, Reformation teamed with Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) to purchase Christmas gifts for
five families in our area. We are very pleased to be part of
this AAL Youth Serve program and are grateful for the funds they
provided. In addition, the youth joined Reformation's Social
Ministry Committee to collect canned and nonperishable goods and purchase
turkeys, apples and potatoes for Thanksgiving meals for these
families. The response was so great that we were also be able to
supply each family with more food for their winter pantries. The youth also donated mittens, socks, gloves, or hats
for the annual Mitten Tree in lieu of Secret Santa Gifts for each other at
their Christmas party. We will provide similar
outreach this year and welcome all ideas!
